What the app does
Recruiter Filter connects to Gmail to help you find recruiter and career opportunity outreach in your recent inbox mail. It can create or reuse a Gmail label, apply that label to recruiter messages, and remove those messages from the Gmail Inbox when you ask it to or enable auto-move.
Google and Gmail data we access
When you connect Gmail, the app asks for Gmail modify access and your Google email address. The app reads recent messages in your Gmail Primary inbox to decide whether each message is recruiter outreach. For that decision, the app may process the sender, recipient, date, subject, snippet, labels, and a truncated plain-text portion of the email body.
The app uses Gmail modify access only to create or find your chosen recruiter label, apply that label to matching messages, remove matching messages from Inbox, and return messages to Inbox when requested. It does not send, delete, forward, draft, or change Gmail settings.
What we store
The app stores:
- Your app account identifier and Google email address.
- An OAuth refresh token so the app can scan Gmail after you connect it.
- Saved preferences, including whether auto-move is enabled and your chosen recruiter label name.
- Scan result metadata: Gmail message ID, classification bucket, model name, label applied timestamp when present, created and updated timestamps, soft-delete timestamp when present, and scan status timestamps.
We keep this data until you disconnect Gmail, delete your account, or ask us to remove it.
What we do not store
The app does not store full email bodies, subjects, senders, snippets, recipients, thread IDs, message dates, attachments, or contact lists in its database. Recent message display details are loaded from Gmail when the app needs to show them.
Model provider processing
To classify recruiter mail, the app sends the selected Gmail fields described above to Google Cloud Vertex AI. The model returns only a recruiter or not-recruiter classification to the app.
We do not store the prompt text or model response text in our database. Google Cloud processes the prompt to provide the classification. We do not sell Gmail data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine learning models.
Limited Use disclosure
Recruiter Filter's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Gmail data only to provide user-facing inbox filtering features in the app.
Disconnecting Gmail and deleting data
You can disconnect Gmail from the signed-in app. Disconnecting Gmail revokes the saved Gmail token when possible, clears the saved Gmail token, disables automatic filtering, and removes the saved Gmail connection and scan results from active use.
You can also delete your account from the signed-in app. Account deletion revokes the saved Gmail token when possible, then deletes saved Gmail connection data, saved scan results, and the app account.
